GEAR EP/GL-5 is a series of premium quality multipurpose gear lubricants fortified with extreme pressure (EP) additives.
They are appropriate to be used under high load and/or high rev’s conditions, ensuring an adequate lubricating film thickness even at hypoid gears under shock loads.
GEAR EP/GL-5 lubricants have exceptional resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation that might lead to deposits formation under specific operating conditions.
They are ideal for use in heavy-duty (hypoid) axles, highly stressed final drives and manual transmissions, steering gears and auxiliary drives of passenger cars and commercial or off-highway vehicles, in accordance with the specifications of major manufacturers.
For synchronized manual gearboxes of cars, vans and commercial trucks or buses, they should be used only where lubricants of API GL-5 performance level are recommended.
